SAGES Mission Statement...

SAGES represents a new collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach to the study of the Earth system and its interactions with society. Building on Scotland's existing research strengths, SAGES will build knowledge of the interactions between the oceans, atmosphere, biosphere and solid earth, and improve predictions of how these elements will respond to future climate change and human impact. Early signs of the impact of SAGES can be judged by the fact that nearly all of the new SAGES posts have attracted world-class international scientists to Scotland.
